The Future of Economic & Monetary Union – law and policy issues of EMU reform – updated workshop report

In May 2017, the European Commission published a reflection paper on Deepening of the Economic and Monetary Union and other key policy proposals. On 11 and 12 December, the European University Institute hosted a workshop to take stock of how economic and monetary union has evolved since the crisis and to assess the legal issues arising out of policy proposals that arise from the reflection paper. Conference: Fiscal Risk and Public Sector Balance Sheets | 6-7 July 2017, University of Bonn

The European fiscal crisis has spurred new research into the measurement and modelling of fiscal risk. This ADEMU conference, held at the University of Bonn on 6 and 7 July, brought together current theoretical and empirical research into these areas, with a special interest in the analysis of public sector balance sheets. ADEMU Summer School Review | 19-20 June

Under the umbrella of the ADEMU project, Franck Portier of the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) organized a summer school from 19th to 20th of June 2017. During those two days, the participants (PhD students, postdocs and professors from European and American universities) followed an ambitious schedule of lectures and presentations focusing on the ADEMU research agenda hosted in the premises of TSE.
