The three-year Horizon 2020-funded ADEMU Project ends with its final conference on the 9th and 10th of May at the EUI in Florence. Following this, a workshop will take place as part of the Barcelona GSE Summer Forum, an annual event attended by around 700 economists, researchers and academics from around the world.
This post-project ADEMU workshop will take place on June 21-22 at the Barcelona GSE, and will reassess the overall framework of the EU with regard to monetary union, fiscal union and banking union.
Papers are invited on topics including (but are not restricted to): (i) the sustainability of sovereign debt, and of union-wide sharing mechanisms, (ii) the assessment of the short-run
stabilizing potential of fiscal policy in a currency union, and (iii) the evaluation and
improvement of existing institutional mechanisms for controlling macroeconomic and
financial imbalances, including reform of the European banking sector.
The deadline for submissions is February 28, 2018.
Submit your papers here. This is a non-ADEMU website run by the Barcelona Summer Forum, which is a series of independent workshops. When you submit your paper, you will be able to see the topics and dates of other workshops that will take place within the Summer Forum. The same paper cannot be submitted to more than one workshop but you are welcome to submit a different paper to another workshop.
Submissions should include either a full paper or an extended abstract with the main results. Authors chosen to present papers will be notified approximately by mid-March. A preliminary program will be announced by mid-April.
The workshop organisation will not be able to provide accommodation or travel support
for speakers.
The Barcelona GSE Summer Forum is one of the activities supported by the Severo
Ochoa Program of Centers of Excellence (SEV-2015-0563).The workshop is a follow up of the Horizon 2020 ADEMU project.
