On the 2nd and 3rd September 2016, The ADEMU Project held a conference jointly with The Cambridge-INET Institute and the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) at the University of Cambridge. The conference, “Debt Sustainability and Lending Institutions”, brought together leading scholars to discuss theoretical and empirical issues in sovereign debt sustainability.
In particular, the conference looked at papers that deal with debt maturity structure, official lending, crisis resolution frameworks, and multiple equilibria, among others. The goal was to identify priorities for both future research and policy-making as it relates to recent developments in the Euro Area and multilateral lending frameworks. The conference was structured to facilitate interaction and discussion among leading academics and policymakers.
More information about the conference can be found on the Cambridge-INET website here.
